2009 Season in Review: Most Pointless Move

Posted On 06 Oct 2009 By Bad Kermit. Under: Cubs.
2009 Season in Review: Most Pointless Move The firing of hitting coach Von Joshua was the latest in a series of pointless moves by Jim Hendry this season. For those of you still interested in discussing the 2009 Cubs, here's a topic of conversation for you. Are there any pointless moves I missed? ... Read More

Sweet Uncle Lou’s Friday Roundup: A “Very Special Hundley” Edition Fair warning. If you like Todd Hundley or any of the Hundley clan, you probably shouldn't read the following story. Everyone still with me? Okay, good. I had to share this nugget sent in by a reader which- Well, I'll just let the story speak for itself. Yesterday i went to the cubs game with a ... Read More

Is David Kaplan Changing Color to Hide How Dumb He Is?

Posted On 27 May 2009 By Bad Kermit. Under: Blogs You Shouldn't Read, Broadcasters & Journalists, Cubs.
Is David Kaplan Changing Color to Hide How Dumb He Is? In case you haven't noticed, David Kaplan has gradually been changing color from pasty white to Oompa Loompa. I can only imagine the change is for one of the following reasons: The Caucasian race has officially kicked him out. He's so dumb, his skin doesn't even realize he's white. He's going on a hunting trip with the Monsters in the Morning this ... Read More

Let it Out

Posted On 26 May 2009 By Bad Kermit. Under: Cubs.
Let it Out I was at the game last night with J-Kerm. When Neal Cotts came on to pitch, I turned to J-Kerm and said, "I guarantee they will not have the lead by the time Cotts leaves this game." Thanks for making me look brilliant, Neal. Even the eight-year-old kid behind me said, "Oh, WHY is he bringing in ... Read More

WORLDS COLLIDE as the Inbox Mentions the Muskbox You know that old adage, "If you can't laugh at yourself, then you suck"? I have to give credit to Carrie for not sucking today. (HT: James) Good one, Carrie. We're one step closing to you fisking one of the Muskboxes, and then I'll have to fisk that, and we'll just keep passing the same article ... Read More

Are the Cubs Totally Screwed?

Posted On 11 May 2009 By Bad Kermit. Under: Cubs.
Are the Cubs Totally Screwed? Did you almost turn off the TV Friday night when Aramis Ramirez went down? Did you curse, in the following order: (1) God, (2) Jim Hendry, and (3) Barry Rozner? I spent most of Saturday thinking about how screwed the Cubs are. Losing Aramis for any significant period of time is way worse than losing Carlos Zambrano. ... Read More

Friday Night Fukudome: Farney vs. Freel

Posted On 08 May 2009 By Bad Kermit. Under: Cubs, Friday Night Fukudome.
Friday Night Fukudome: Farney vs. Freel Friday afternoon, the Cubs traded totally-useless outfielder Joey Gathright to the (snicker) Baltimore Orioles for Ryan Freel. Freel is clearly one of the weirdest dudes in baseball. He has a knack for flinging his body full-speed into walls, trying to pick up girls on Craigslist for "breakfast", and getting good and lubed up for an old-fashioned arresting. ... Read More
