MLB 2K8: Might as Well Geek it up in Here

Finally. A chance to play baseball with the undead. If you didn’t already know, I get pretty geeked for video game baseball. Since the last couple of years of baseball gaming on the Xbox 360 were, for the most part, crappy, I haven’t had much to say about it. Last week, though, they released screenshots from MLB 2K8, the only available “sim” video game baseball choice for 360 owners. The good news is that Ben Brinkman, the producer of MLB 2K7, knew the game pretty much sucked and has said that they have improved a lot of the problem areas from last year (like the crappy hitting, too-accurate pitching, boring and unresponsive fielding, and confusing baserunning; you know, pretty everything having to do with BASEBALL).

The game is set to come out on March 3 (although MLB 2K7 was actually released a week early). There is a demo set to drop in early February. Since we’re pretty much running out the clock waiting for pitchers and catchers to report, we might as well get ourselves worked up into a frenzy so we can eventually be let down in a nut-crunching fashion. Where have I heard that before?
