Good Luck, Mark
As you’ve certainly already heard, the Cubs chose to non-tender Mark Prior. If I haven’t made it clear enough, I think this was a stupid, stupid move, and I am sad to see Prior go.
Those saying that Prior is a pussy have very short memories. The Prior I’m going to remember is the one who drilled Barry Bonds in 2003 and, when Barry acted like he was going to go after Prior, Prior all but leaped off the mound and waved Barry’s bitch ass out. I’m going to remember the Prior who put together one of the best stretch runs I have ever seen at the end of the 2003 season.
On behalf of the Cubs, Mark, I’m sorry there was a fucking idiot in charge of your arm for the whole of your Cub career. Good luck, and remember:
I got news for you, Mr. Hendry. You haven’t heard the last of me. You think I’m shit now, but someday you’ll be sorry you cut me. I’m gonna catch on somewhere else, and every time I pitch against you, I’m gonna stick it up your fucking ass!
