College of Coaches was a shit for brains idea the Cubs used in the 60 in which the Cubs would rotate 8 coaches between the Cubs and the minor league teams. The philosophy was to teach the whole organization a standard system of play and would help make coaches/managers expendable. This ridiculous idea is the groundwork for the organization we see today.
