Hey there, gang! It’s been a long time since I’ve checked in with a Comment of the Week, and we’re going to do it a bit differently today. Kermit received a couple of cryptic e-mails sent to his old “Fire Lou Piniella” address from a distressed Yankees fan. It’s hard to argue that they are Comment of the Week material.

FUCK YOU CUBS FANS YOU’RE A BUNCH OF LOSERS
That was it. That was the first e-mail. The second was slightly more eloquent.
WHEN YOUR A YANKEE YOU DON’T LOSE. WHEN YOUR A CUB YOU HAVE LOST MORE GAMES THEN THERE ARE CHINS IN A CHINESE PHONE BOOK.
NO OFFENSE TO MY CHINESE FRIENDS
LOU DO YOURSELF A FAVOR GET THE FUCK OUT OF CHICAGO. I LIVE THERE NOW AND I AM AND ALWAYS BE A YANKEE FAN. GO BACK TO 161ST AND RIVER AVE. CUB FANS ARE BIMBOS AND DICK HEADS.
LOVE YA
All you Chinese bimbos and dickheads should feel free to e-mail your responses to Annie Hudson HERE.

Even if the Cubs can’t win the division, they should give the fans a reason to come to the ballpark.
For most of the last 100 years, the Cubs have been a losing team, but they still filled the ballpark because they at least gave an effort. Banks, Santo, Sandberg, Sosa, Grace, Maddox, Jenkins, and countless stars played on losing Cubs teams. This year marks a new low, not so much in performance, but in the way personnel are used. It has become so bad that fans would rather see their favorite players traded than be abused by management. Piniella does not care if the team wins. Rather than admit he has lost his edge, he scapegoats players, some of whom were performing, and shuts players down for the season, which has prevented them from getting traded. Who wants players who don’t play once on a while? It gives the impression that they have some hidden defect. or injury. If Lou cares at all, he will step down before the end of the season.

Are you related to Ivy Walls over at BCB?
Entertainingly, this real Yankees fan manages to be more cartoonish than this http://hirejimessian.com/2008/10/01/a-yankee-fan-predicts-the-cubs-dodgers-nlds/ caricature of a Yankees fan.
Your reply should include an allusion to Dimaggio’s recently released military service records, which paint him as an arrogant, whiny malcontent whose self-obsession drove everyone around him nuts and who vacillated between genuine hypochondria and phony health complaints to try to get an early discharge. Compare and contrast that to a real mensch like Ted Williams.
Man, you should really get to know me first before calling me a bimbo, maybe we could have coffee or something? By the end of his email does he actually think he is speaking to Lou Piniella? Love Ya!

No, I am not. Why do you ask?
She should have stopped after the first e-mail which, while devoid of punctuation, contains all correctly spelled words AND the correct version of “you’re.” That is pretty good for someone who likes to comment in all caps.
She kind of goes off the rails there a bit in the second. Just by a little bit though. It’s pretty good for a Yankees fan.
Yankees SUCK!! All Yankees fans are rude just like all New Yorkers are rude!
