A long-awaited apology was finally issued today. An apology you’ve all been waiting for. And here it comes. I’m sorry about the whole “there’s nothing new to read on this crap hole site” thing. Despite the earnest wishes of all of my mortal enemies, HJE is not dying a slow death. Some other projects have consumed some of my time, and life has been hectic this year. Combine that with the Cubs’ terriblosity this year and some crippling writers’ block, and the posting has been infrequent. But, hey, it’s not like anyone is paying for this crap. In conclusion, sooner rather than later, there will be, you know, new posts and stuff. Because if I’m going to continue watching this crap, you’re all going to have to suffer with me by reading about it.
Have a good weekend.

No Friday roundup? We only have a couple of months left of Sweet Uncle Lou, and there’s no roundup?!
Not to be a self-flaunting ass, but have you considered guest writers? I assume you could approve content or something if you wanted before you throw it up there and it might let us shmucks who keep coming here feel like we’re important.
If anyone wants to hear my 14 part series about how the history of the Cubs directly relates to the stock market, I’m certainly willing to write it. Or I can just make fart jokes and call Theriot a midget
Maybe a friday night fukudome?
On the bright side, at least HJE hasn’t been hacked in a while. That’s awesome, right?
@Santo10 –
how about What will be more intense, your disappointment of Lilly going, or your excitement of Theriot going?
If that trade with the Dodgers goes through. All theoretical, but I can’t decide.
I understand…no apology necessary.
I won’t believe Theriot is getting traded until I actually hear the announcement. They have Tulowitzki and Barmes. Why would they want old Tootblan? I think they are floating those rumors to generate interest. I hope I am wrong.
Nobody really cares. Just keep the sbox and shut the rest of this shit down.
Wait til next year!!!
The best thing Ted Lilly ever did for the Cubs was taking Theri-ot with him.
Kermit…life catches up with all of us sooner or later, and it does seem hard keeping somewhat interested in the 2010 Nut-Punch. Just keep doing what you can and hang in there!
Go, Cubs, go.
No problem. We all figured you’re just behind because of the abundance of columns being posted over at Fisted Foul.
Kermit – Maybe its time that you come back to BCB.
Just to add insult to injury in this nightmare of a season, Juan Pierre hit a home run today.
