Can you believe it’s been only three years since Tony LaRussa was arrested for having no idea how many letters were in the English alphabet, nor which order in which they are arranged? It feels like so much has happened since then. Except for the Cubs winning a postseason game. Or Mark McGwire’s skin clearing up. Or Albert Pujols’ grandchildren learning to walk.
But The Genius really did a public service to all of you who have considered drinking and driving. You shouldn’t. In Tony’s words, “Last night’s situation is the opposite of feeling good.” There’s no stronger statement than that. I submit this new slogan to MADD.
DRINKING AND DRIVING: THE OPPOSITE OF FEELING GOOD.

I like that when he is told he blew .093 and .092 when the legal limit is .08, he asks, “Is that significant?” Yes, Tony, it means you were drunk driving. Pretty significant.
Hey Kerm…”It feel like” ?!?
Sorry I just had an ajroxmywhitesox moment…I’m gonna go kill myself
@paintersix – Bah! You’re right. Fixed. Thanks.
“What would be really high?” – YOU
I always thought he was a moron, but c’mon! He says he only had 2 glasses of wine with the last one being at 10 PM but at 1:57 AM he still blows a .092?! This guy is such an arrogant fuckstick that he thinks it’s the first time an officer has heard, “Uh, it’s been a long day, and I only had 2 drinks.”
And to think there were people that wanted him to leave St. Louis for the North Side! No thanks, I don’t want someone who can’t just admit he was wrong and pay the price, not someone who will deny he did anything wrong. What a fuckin moron!
Oh man oh man oh man. I met a guy that heckled LaRussa after a Cubs game on their way to the Cardinals bus (this was shortly after LaRussa’s DUI). He yelled out, “Hey don’t let this asshole drive the bus!” and LaRussa charged toward him and tried to take a swing. I called BS until he showed me the pictures of the incident on his cell phone. I’ll have to forward them to you.
Is there no more FNF? That would be significant. My weekend was totally fucked up with my Friday Night Fukudome. What’s the fucking deal?
@ mapwheel that’s awesome!
@mapwheel – I have to see these pictures.
Well he didn’t say how big the glasses were…..
@demonopie – glasses AKA bottle of boone’s farm because Tony is classy like that
The typical person’s Bac lowers .01 every 40 minutes his first contact was at midnight. He probably was closer to .15 at some time. Sleeping at the wheel is a great sign. The “is that significant?” question was priceless. What a bonehead!!! Hey Tony can’t afford cab fare. This guy could ride a limo every night with the salary he makes.
