Friday Night Fukudome: Grabow vs. Remlinger

Cubs, Friday Night Fukudome

If there’s one thing Jim Hendry is terrific at doing is bidding against himself for the services of his target free agents and then grossly overpaying for them. As Dolan already pointed out, Hendry did it again with this week’s signing of John Grabow. I have nothing against Grabow. He’s good. Just like Mike Remlinger was good, if overpaid. So, let’s Fukudome the shit out of these guys.

VS.
John Grabow Mike Remlinger

Which left-handed reliever signing will be more emphatically "meh"?

I’m hoping Grabow only reaches the “meh” level. Remlinger was actively horrible with the Cubs. Mainly because Dusty couldn’t figure out that he was better against righties than lefties.

Grabow does a good job and with a few kids and Marshall coming to the pen, we have a LOOGY and a guy who can throw for an inning, which is good to have

How can you NOT vote for Billy Bob Thornton in a Cubs uniform?
