On April 13, Jermaine Dye and Paul Konerko reached that milestone in back-to-back at-bats. That was the first time teammates reached 300 in the same game in Major League history.

In fairness to Levi, that was pretty easy to miss. I mean yeah they slobbered all over Konerko/Dye when it happened on Sports Center, Around the Horn, Pardon the Interruption, Baseball Tonight with John Kruk and the OBP Hating Chubby Chaser Who Isn’t Jim Hendry, and every sports show in Chicago….but like if you live in Borneo and don’t follow baseball or read or write any languages save for the pidgin dialect of your cargo cult, it was easy to miss.

Hey, the bits about the Mexican League are pretty much offensive, but we’re not going to talk about that in a post about the Muskat mailbag; however, the Leones de Yucat�n AAA franchise is my current employer, so I feel like I have a correction to make: they belong to the summer Liga Mexicana de B�isbol; the Winter League, aka Liga Mexicana del Pac�fico, runs from late October to early January and has completely different teams, mostly ones who play in cities by the Pacific — coast, that is. Not some trashy bar where I once saw a top MLB prospect bang a fat chick… but that’s a whole different story.
