…with an emergency request. I asked Jim Essian (yes, the real one) if he, a native Detroitian, was going to attend the Winter Classic at Wrigley Field between the Blackhawks and the Red Wings. He mentioned that he would love to go with his wife, but hasn’t been able to find tickets. Can we forgive him for being a Red Wings fan and try to find the man a pair of tickets? Does anyone have a guy who has a guy? If so, e-mail me at the address in the sidebar.
Thanks to the incomparable TJ Brown for the idea of asking Skip in the first place.

You mean he didn’t make duplicates of his old Wrigley Field keys?
BK,
I used to know a guy in the desert in San Diego, but he don’t go for the puck, don’t you know.
Seriously, I hope you’re able to find a guy and get Mr. JE some tickets, with the proviso he has to have his picture taken with a Blackhawks jersey on if they beat the Wings.
He doesn’t still have any contacts at the Cubs he can call? I’m pretty sure they’ve got some tickets.
@Forklift –
Frank Maroney, VP of tickets sales, has been there forever, but Skip may be reluctant to impose, considering that he was unable to save Jim Frey’s bacon in 1991. Not that it was really his fault, of course.
