Cubs, Transactions

It looks like the Cubs and Ryan Dempster have agreed to a four-year, $52-million deal. To recap the offseason so far:

Jake Peavy–Not Yet a Cub
Kerry Wood–Not a Cub

Is the picture on the cubs.com homepage actually him?

  4. Reggie Miller Says:

That picture suggests that The Dumpster is less sure of his orientation than Carrot Top.

Ryan, your partner will probably appreciate the fist over a rubber chicken…

I always thought that the picture had ghey overtones, but what a fellow wants to do with his rubber chicken is his own business, I reckon.

He’s going to continue to be a good regular season pitcher, no? You still might want to go after Peavy or Sabathia – Peavy’s wasted in San Diego, where there’s going to be another fire sale.

But isn’t the AC-DC shirt kind of anti-ghey?

Are we still thinking that maybe there’s a shot in hell of actually landing Peavy?

I think we should focus our attention more to how we rid ourselves of Jason Marquis? Perhaps the Milton approach from Office Space.

“We fixed the glitch. Yeah, he won’t be getting a paycheck any more…”
