Best game of the year for me, 8-28-08, Wrigley field, Cubs v Phillies. Aramis comes up with the bases juiced, down 4-2 and puts one over CF…Victorino didn’t even move when that ball flew over his head. Cubs win 6-4. Wrigley goes nuts, I’m driving on the interstate, I go nuts in my car. Awesome game!

I finally looked at the April schedule. Noticed the Cubs beat the Brewers 19-5 on 4-30-2008, scoring 6 runs in an inning twice than 5 in another. Which reminds me of a great stat. Leading the league in 5+run innings.

That rubber game win in St. Louis had two incredible catches by Alf and Fukudome late in the game. Getting Pujols out was icing on the cake.

The comeback against the Rockies was the game that convinced me this was a truly special team. Lou wasn’t even starting Aramis that day, and had pulled DPLee and Geo in the top of the 6th. It was the f’ing BENCH that pulled off the comeback. Even the AAAA Cubs can’t be counted out this year.

@Frasier Crane - Reed's catch was awesome, but I was going more for great games, and I believe the Cubs eventually lost that one en route to losing 2 of 3 to Washington. Reed's catch was about the only good thing that happened that weekend.

@JayBandit - I was to lazy too check the schedule to see when Demptser pitched against the Nats. That catch kept Dempster's season intact too. Also Johnson's Granny in Toronto was great & should be mentioned somewhere.

@Frasier Crane - That was on April 25th, which was more like our 9th series (4th on the road) of the season...but I concur, great play.
