Howry at least helped us win a division last year.
All Cotts did was help the the stinkin’ white Sox win an alleged World Series.
They both suck, but for some reason, Lou seems to like Howry, so it’s likely that the only way we’ll be rid of him is if he’s eaten by pirahnas.

I’m going with Cotts here. As bad as Howry has been, he’s still stranded something like 19 of 21 baserunners when he comes into an inning to get out of a jam. Maybe if Lou just learns not to have him start an inning, he could be useful. Cotts is useless no matter when you use him. To think I ever defended that piece of shit.
Cotts is human garbage. And I hate his hair. And I hate is deceptively low ERA that fails to account for the fact that his appearance on the mound means a free pass home for any runners in scoring position he inherits. AND I’d rather trust a competent right hander in a LOOGY situation than that waste of skin.
Howry sucks now, but he at least has helped the Cubs in the past. Cotts is just plain crap.

It’s definately howry. I hate that man so much it makes me want to run out there and ask him “What the hell are you doing?”

Cotts, hands down. I’m with Mike D on this one. Howry at least has a history of being good with teh Cubs. Cotts was never good, at least not while we’ve had him. I’d have rather kept Aardsma. At least the Aardvark had a cool name. Personally, I’d rather toss them both overboard, but I’d push Neal first. Unfortunately, I think Cotts is gonna stick around, just because he is a lefty. The emergence of Samardzija makes Howry somewhat expendable, but since our farm system seems devoid of lefties, Cotts gets a pass. In a perfect world, he’s chum.
Howry stinks this year, what a liability. I hope he is gone soon.
If you want to cite history, start with 100 years of losing, that’s the Cubs legacy and it’s PATHETIC.
Samardzija has looked good lately and that is a big plus because Marmol is suspect IMOP (too many innings?)…
