One is a bad pitcher who has shown a few flashes of brilliance this year. The other has been described as “fragile” by Mark Prior. One will most likely have more second-half starts for the Cubs than the other. So, who’s it going to be?

| Rich Harden | Jason Marquis |

Whoever voted for Marquis is a pessimistic ass and needs to leave.
BK?
I haven’t voted.
I voted for Marquis, because I figure he’ll be the innings-eater while the Cubs slowly bring Harden along for the playoffs.
Can I stay?
Funny, I voted for Marquis – and then when I saw the results my very first thought was “Wow, there’re a lot of optimists around here”. I should point out, though, that this was after Marquis’ sterling effort against the Giants,
Marquis hasn’t been Estes-terrible, and by all accounts, Billy Beane as good as told Hendry that Harden is falling to pieces. I’d like to think of myself as a realist.
I’m hoping Dick Hardon goes the distance and justifies my optimistic ass.
Wow, that looks a lot gayer on the screen than it did in my head.
Marquis has 21 votes? Is Al Yellon voting once and again?
What do you expect? We’re Cubs Fans: 75% optimists, 24% masochists. (1% sexy, sexy ladies.)
But they’re starting me every six days, so Jason will get more starts.
I think the thing that you all forget here is that I have a family to support. I NEED these starts, man.
…can I vote for mark prior?
…maybe a better question is who will go on the DL first, Marmol or Wood?
IF there is nothing wrong with Marmol physically, then a psychiatric evaluation might be the next step.
