The Opposite of Indifference is SWEEP
Petty? Juvenile? Trifling? YES. And I love it. After Saturday’s game, when the Ozzhole said that Jim Edmonds wasn’t a good acquisition for the Cubs (Jim is putting up a .311/.358/.581 with the Cubs, by the way), he had to trot his team out for a 7-1 drubbing at the hands of Ryan Dempster, Lou Piniella, and a cast of Cubs so absolutely lovable that I find myself rooting for the Dempsters and the Edmonds of the world. So on this grand off day, it’s celebration time. Soak it up, Cubs fans. This team can play.

Speaking of Guillens comments about Edmonds in which he said he wasn’t scared of him, gotta love how he pitched around him yesterday. Eating words….mmmm.
I still can’t wait until this bullshit Crosstown Cocktickling Fest is done with, but GODDAYUM that felt good.
I love this team. I haven’t heard from my Sox fan friends since Friday morning. I hope they didn’t jump.
Quick question: is there a less classy organization than the White Sox? It’s pretty rare where you find players and management of every level taking unprovoked shots at another team. I’ve never heard anyone on the Cubs say negative word one about the White Sox, yet just from this weekend alone, you had Guillen and Danks talking shit about Wrigley, Guillen talking shit about Edmonds, and Pierzynski and Williams talking about the fans (in Pierzynski’s case it may at least have been provoked, but on the other hand, fuck that knob). Meanwhile, the Cubs just go about their business and sweep the Sox out of town.
I’ve been needing a reason to wear my Twins hat. With the Cubs winning so much, I can’t get myself to do it.

Every weekday when I go to work I am surrounded by hundreds of Sox fans. They far outnumber Cub fans here.
All of last week they were mouthy.
Mouthy when Z went down.
Mouthy after the Tampa Bay sweep.
Mouthy after they swept the Pirates.
Mouthy because they were hitting the crap out of the ball during that series.
Mouthy before the game on Friday.
Mouthy when they had the lead during that game.
Today?
Not. A. Word.
The best part is, what have I said to them this morning?
Nothing.
Why?
Because I don’t have to.
