Carlin WAS funny…in fact, he was – at times – a comic genius

but the last few years he was just bitter and rambled on like a grandpa off his meds…it was sad

Very few can say they changed their industry. Carlin did. It’s easy to be funny and dumb….to be funny and smart gets you a lot of respect.

If you get a chance pick up Carlin’s book “Brain Droppings” usually books written b comedians are tedious but this one is good. RIP Mr. Carlin.

Carlin’s 1992 (1991?) HBO special is one of the all-time greatest stand up acts, in my opinion.

Thanks for reminding me of that routine, Kerm. This might be blasphemy, but I haven’t been impressed with his more recent material. (I guess “more recent” by now means the last 15 years or so.) But the stuff that built his reputation will never go bad.
