It turns out Chad Fox has not yet died, and is now on the Cubs’ 25-man roster. Kevin Hart and his “cutter of death” 5.06 ERA were sent down to Iowa.

BK, you forgot to mention that Chad is a B126er!
Chad Fox? I’m fairly sure I read an article like two days ago saying he was still injured or something.
Well, here:
“Fox made just one Spring Training appearance with the Cubs this season before being slowed by right tricep strain. In addition to time at extended spring training, he made four Minor League relief outings, three with Single-A Daytona and one with Double-A Tennessee. Fox tossed four scoreless innings in Daytona, allowing only one hit, before allowing four runs in 0.2 innings in his one Double-A appearance.”
So, he allowed four runs in 0.2 innings in AA. Call him up! Was there really no one at Iowa who would have made more sense? Did they just figure that since Chad Fox is 89 years old, he didn’t require any more seasoning?
Seriously? Chad Fox? Why not just re-re-sign Trachsel?
Or sign Fox’s twin brother Chris Elliott. That would at least be entertaining.
Nope. Not Chris Elliott:
