Photoshop “Contest” #4

Fire away, you clever bastards. Again, the img src HTML should work. Preview your post to see if it does. If it doesn’t, just post the URL, and I’ll eventually fix it for you.

BallHype: hype it up!

Stop!! Everyone else can just stop. You’re not going to beat this one. Instant classic…

hahahaha That is classic. That has to be the winner.

And no more hopping.

Tonker’s is pretty good. I’d do one but I’m not that talented and it would suck

Aw, come on, al. Give it a shot!

Shadows and everything? I’m impressed.

These are all great so far.

I broke my photoshop cherry with this today, so if you can’t better it, I’m a Chinaman.

I wanted to do one, but for some reason my illegally obtained version of Photoshop has decided it’s no longer valid.

Bastards.

Awesome. I was just about to ask where your rendition was, on here… Well there I go.

Nobody worked them into the CRACK BACK poster?

Awesome! The Border

I had an idea but since I dont have a photoshop program on my pc I can’t put it on here for all to see. Anyone know a good place to download a free photoshop software program?

1. GIMP is open source and free to use, but not very intuitive. I’m not a big fan of it. However, if you’ve used Photoshop before and are just looking to do some basic stuff, you could probably figure out enough to get by. http://www.gimp.org/

2. Aviary is a recently-released, browser-based image editor that apparently provides some surprisingly good functionality. I haven’t had a chance to mess around with it, but I have heard some good things. You’ll need to request an invite to gain access. http://a.viary.com/

3. Adobe also provides a trial version of a slimmed down version of PS that’s called Photoshop Elements. It’s pretty user-friendly, but a lot of the functionality of the full PS version is missing (and even more so with the trial version). http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopelwin/features/?promoid=BGRVZ

I’d recommend trying out Aviary first. If that doesn’t work for you, go on to PS Elements. If all else fails, download the GIMP and pray.
