The last time you saw Chad Fox in 2005, he was walking off the mound in Wrigley Field. His right arm was somewhere between the catcher and the backstop. I was wondering aloud if Dusty Baker was intentionally trying to end Chad Fox’s career. I certainly thought, whether intentionally or not, he’d done so.

Fear not, though, Fox lovers. Chad is back with the Cubs, as Jim Hendry signed him to a minor-league deal and invited him to Spring Training. This leads me to ask, does Jim have access to the 40-man roster? It seems to me the Cubs are lacking in quality starting pitching, center fielders, and shortstops. It seems they have a glut of talent in the bullpen, particularly from the right side. So, is Chad Fox happy pitching out of the bullpen in Iowa? Because Fox and I have one thing in common: we have an equal shot of going north with the Cubs out of Spring Training.
