After Roger Clemens’ utterly ridiculous denial of his alleged steroid abuse (It took you THAT long to come up with the exact same story Tejada came up with, Roger? Really?), I got to wondering whether Clemens has usurped Barry Bonds’ long-held position as my least favorite baseball player.

Bonds:

  • Was once made to look a bitch by MARK PRIOR
  • Is still admiring the last home run he hit in 2007
  • Made me root for Jeff Kent in a fight
  • Suggested he was going to “wipe out” Babe Ruth, the greatest baseball player of his time, and that we shouldn’t “talk about him no more”
  • Chronic liar and egomaniac
  • Made Dusty Baker look competent, leading directly to the Cubs’ 4-year hiring of Baker

Clemens:

  • Once threw at his own kid’s head
  • Former Yankee
  • Former Red Sox
  • Former Astro
  • Threw a chunk of baseball bat at her husband
  • Shameless hired gun
  • Chronic liar and egomaniac
  • Made us read Shawn Estes’ name for weeks in the paper during the 2002 season
