What I find funny is I think Jim Caple had a stadium review a few years back and for all his talk about how great the stadium is, I think he had it ranked in the top 10 which isn’t that stellar if you ask me. He picked PNC Ballbark as the best stadium. So why all this fascination for a 6th ranked stadium Jim? hmmmm?

This is what pisses me off. The Red Sox coming back to win a series after being down 3-0–WHICH HAD NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE, not only in baseball but also in basketball (in fact, just forcing a 7th game after being down 3-0 was also unprecedented)– against the Yankees, who are not only the greatest franchise in the league�s history but also Boston�s number 1 tormentor, is one of the greatest storylines a writer could hope to get. And yet these ungrateful assholes immediately look past it because their cash cow of paint-by-numbers auto-columns depicting the misery of Red Sox Nation evarporates. What a couple of megadouches

This is an elaborate act by ESPN. Just like they’ve already deemed this weekend’s college football schedule as “Gut Check Saturday”, they have a script for how to cover the Cubs.

The non-fans dig this stuff and it fires up the Cubs fans. Add it all up, and ESPN gets ratings and “buzz”.

Jesus, this article is just terrible. It’s like they’re trying to be semi-serious and make an argument at first, but then they do some tongue-in-cheek humor with the whole destruction of Wrigley thing that’s way over the top and not even remotely funny.

And I’m pretty sure that Satan himself would have to buy the team to be worse than the Tribune Co.
