Here’s McLovin, 25-year-old Hawaiian organ donor.

CHICAGO–Chicago Cubs pitcher Rich Hill improved his record to 8-7 Tuesday night in the Cubs’ 5-3 win over the visiting Milwaukee Brewers. Hill threw 7 strong innings, allowing only 3 runs on 7 hits, striking out 9 Brewers and walking none. The win gave the Cubs a 2.5-game lead over the Brewers in the NL Central and kept them 2 games ahead of the St. Louis Cardinals, who defeated the Houston Astros.

After the game, Hill again came up big for his team, scoring liquor for the big post-game birthday party for Cubs manager Lou Piniella. Dressed in a button-down shirt and a vest and armed with his Hawaiian fake ID, Rich “McLovin” Hill entered Binny’s Beverage Depot and managed to score two bottles of apple Pucker, a six-pack of Mike’s Hard Lemonade, and a carton of cigarettes for Piniella’s bash.

Hill’s ID shows that McLovin is a 25-year-old organ donor, a surprising choice. Hill explained the reason for setting his age at 25 years old instead of the legal age of 21. “There is a very good reason for why my fake I.D. says I’m 25 and not 21,” Hill said. “Everyday hundreds of kids go to the liquor store with fake I.D.s that say they’re 21. Just how many 21-year-olds are there in this town? It’s called strategy.”

Hill’s strategy worked, as neither the liquor store, nor the two police officers called to Binny’s after it was robbed at gunpoint, suspected that Hill was actually 27 years old. Hill was the life of Piniella’s party, though he did not have sex, despite his best efforts to do so.
