Gang, because this Friday refuses to end, it’s a good time to get a little bit of variety in the Hire Jim Essian! shop, which has stuff which you’ve probably never noticed.
Here’s the problem.
I have no artistic ability whatsoever. None. So, how about a design contest with the two lucky winners getting a free t-shirt of their own design?
Here are the rules, stolen without shame from our own DomerMQ’s Her Loyal Sons:
- The design must be an original work of your own.
- By submitting a design, you agree to have that design displayed on HireJimEssian.com from the time of submission until the Cubs win the World Series, or we’re all dead, whichever comes second. You also agree that the design may be used by HJE or its many affiliates, for display on the site or for use in designing many fine HJE products, regardless of whether you win or get Neified.
- Submissions must be made by August 5, 2007. God knows if you get it in the next day, there’s no way HJE will try to profit off your contribution.
- All submissions will be judged by me and possibly J-Kerm when she’s not busy scrubbing toilets.
- Two lucky winners will be announced on the site August 6, 2007.
- You can submit as many photos as you wish in .bmp, .gif, or .jpg formats.
- E-mail your submissions to: badkermit@hirejimessian.com. Subject: “T-Shirt Contest.” Please make sure I can easily contact you by replying to your submission e-mail.
- Feel free to post suggestions in the comments here for the sake of hilarity or for other people to run with, but ALSO make sure you e-mail any submissions to me. I’m not going to consider anything in the comments (mainly because it will just be text, anyhow).
- Please make the designs no larger than 1200px X 1200px. That will make my life much easier.
UPDATE: If you have a submission, you can use SpreadShirt (I think) to get it prepared, too. It seems simple to use.
Also, check out the HJE shop for some of the current designs.
That’s, ah. That’s pretty much it. If you posted suggestions in the Shoutbox, get to work on those designs, and e-mail them in!
