Lou Piniella sat down with John McDonough and Jim Hendry for two hours prior to tonight’s game. What were they talking about? The idiots at the Score think Piniella wants to quit. Piniella was actually probably just trying to avoid the idiotic questions asked of him on The Ron Santo Show.

When he finally spoke to the media, Piniella claimed that nothing was going on, and that the three men sit down once a month for such meetings. Funny that none of them have ever interrupted Piniella’s pre-game routine.

Furthermore, the players met in a “players-only” meeting prior to the upper management meeting. My wild prediction: they asked Hendry to can Piniella (or at least ask him to dial it down a notch).
