Andy Masur is moving from the Cubs’ radio booth to provide color commentary for the Padres’ radio broadcast. Soon after the annoucement, Cubs color man Pat Hughes, for whom Masur filled in during Hughes’ daily 7th-inning steamer, drew up plans to have a toilet installed in the booth.
“Andy will be greatly missed,” Hughes said through clenched teeth as a noxious odor filled the room. “He did great interviews before the game and, of course, he filled in for me during the seventh inning every day,” Hughes continued as a vein popped out on his reddening forehead. “If you’ll excuse me for a minute… Wait. Better make that ten minutes,” Hughes said, leaving the interview.
The toilet is expected to be installed before the Cubs season starts. Hughes will bring a portable toilet on road trips.
This seventh inning is brought to you by Fiamma portable toilets. Fiamma–when you gotta go, you gotta go.
